You can bet the LSU coaches' plan will be "Let's not lose the game with mistakes on offense." (See at Auburn 2006, at Florida 2006, vs. Florida 2009).

Still, the Tigers can win. I'd feel more confident if the LSU D had a strong, consistent pass rush, which would force the shaky Bama QB into throwing a few INTs.

The trouble is that Bama is at home and refreshed after a week off. Jordan Jefferson has seen only one defense of this caliber in his career. In that game he led LSU to a total of 3 points.

It should be a close game. LSU is peaking at the right time. Are they good enough to beat Bama? With a little luck, yes.

Let's hope the refs don't decide the game. :tigereye:

I actually like that score (13-9). I was thinking LSU 16, ALA 13, with LSU winning on a late FG. I see a 3-4 point game with LSU winning. ALAs offense has flattened as the season has progressed, while LSU is finally looking smoother and more efficient the past two weeks. I also like that LSU has not been beating themselves with penalties or turnovers, whereas ALA has. Both have top defenses now, so that is a push, and is why I agree with a low scoring game.

If you have watched all the games this year, there is no way you can say that LSU and Bama's defenses are even.

    Sorry, it's just not true.

It is true statistically over an 8 game stretch, so say what you want, but that is objective. You do realize we are only averaging giving up 1 yard per game more in pass defense than Saban's vaunted secondary, and only 2 pt's per game more (and actually 1 point less if you throw out meaningless last play TDs against UW and AUB)? I mean, how can you argue that our defense is not a top defense similar to ALA? Their style may be a bit different, but results are not.

I'm not saying LSU's defense is bad. The difference between them and Bama, though, is the ability to stop the run and the ability to rush the passer. This is what makes LSU's defense incomplete and Bama's defense complete.

Against Florida, LSU's front four needed to stop the dive play in order to have a chance to win. They couldn't. They needed to get off the field on 3rd down. They couldn't.

Against Bama, LSU will need to stop Ingram, rattle the QB, and get off the field on 3rd down. Let's see if they've improved since UF.

Oh yeah, and if LSU wants a win vs. Bama, the offense has to run the ball consistently. The only team they've done that against this year is Tulane. Let's see if that carries over in Tuscaloosa.

I think we could see 9-6 game!

If one team gets a pick 6 like Bama did last year that team will be the winner!

ST big play could be the turning play. Loving how this game shapes up and we could see Bama win a very close game.

I love how my Tigers have moved into the position to win this game and it proves out that our staff do know what they are doing.

Bama vs Tigers will be a magic game for years to come and I am going to have to wait all week for this game.

Funny that one of the gumps biggest complaints this year is a LACK of pass rush. Its not as good as you are making it out to be.
