We will be between 10 and 12 in the Coaches Poll. I suspect #11 with Oklahoma State breaking it's tie with us and moving one spot ahead.
Hey, we're the highest ranked 2-loss team. If we win out and everybody in the top ten takes two more losses, we are home free.
Everytime one of the polls comes out we pretty much are the highest ranked team in our loss column, but many of our fans will say we don't get any respect. Personally I don't think we should be ranked that high right now.
Agreed, but ultimately, I'm thankful we are. What if we beat Bama, Auburn ends up upsetting them, too, and we win out? What if we then make it to the SECCG and win. The higher we are now, the more we could be in a meaningful mix at the end of the season. Given our defensive play so far, I am sure most of feel this is farfetched, as do I, but so was Pitt upsetting WVU in 2007. Crazier things have happened. If we lose to Bama, obviously, all bets are off, and our ranking won't really matter that much anyway.
Auburn would also have to drop one more game. As it stands if we win out and Auburn beats Alabama also, Auburn is your SEC West champ unless they drop another game and that would have to be Georgia.
