I don't want to pile on JJ, JJ has been playing the best and most consistent ball of his career this year. I most certainly support JJ getting the snaps he's getting, and being used as CLM is using him. ...... But .. I do concur, that switcing the order, such that Lee is the starter, and JJ, the change of pace, seems to be more effective than having the order the otherway around.

I still thinks it boils down to JJ being able to come in and play his game with no pressure to win the game. JJ played great last year when he got an early lead. Lee, OTOH, always came in when the stakes were down. He handles the pressure just fine.

No doubt, Krags and Stud have done wonders with these guys. Again, however, I think this is related to focusing more on a pro-style offense, as opposed to the option crap that Crowton was bent on last year. There have been so many changes, that it would be impossible to nail the reason why ....

BUT .. I'm just darn happy to see a producing LSU offense again!! :geauxtige

Take away one pass from JJ yesterday and he had a VERY mediocre / poor performance. 3 series, one wasthe TD pass, the other two were 3 and out and 5 and out. And he was sacked twice.

Give JJ snaps if we must, but please don't do it until the Bama game is put away, if at all. Every series will be important.

that one had more to do with Hatcher being forced to play SS with Taylor being out

He blew two touchdown passes in that first half that killed us

Obviously we would have had a much better shot putting up 34 points with better QB play, but it wasn't a given we win that game based on one man's poor performance.

I think the fact that we have an identity as an offense helps both QBs immensely. The last few years we have tried to do a little of everything and no one knew what the phuck was going on. There has been zero confusion this year except for a couple times when JJ came in the middle of a series and we had to waste a timeout.

My frustration level watching games is down to near zero. I just shake my head in amazement and smile these days instead of throwing sh!t at the tv.

I like the fact that Lee doesn't have to feel the weight of the world is entirely on him going into the Bama game but that it's still his team ultimately. I think it helps relax him.

The formula is working beautifully and we must live or die by it at this point.

The TD just before half was a killer. I blame our coaching staff as we could've run the clock out but decided to use TOs which led to a punt. With JJ as your QB and needing to drive the length of the field...why didn't they just take a knee?

Did they really believe he was going to lead a scoring drive in the final minute? :dis:

Your defense just can't give up that touchdown in that situation given the time left on the clock knowing it's one hail mary play, I don't care what preceded it.

I agree. Les is fully committed to it at this point.

As far as how Lee feels, I'm not so sure. Certainly when JJ first came back Lee was happy for him to get to play. But since the first game back, a few times the camera has been on Lee when JJ was put in early in the game and he wasn't all smiles and grins.

I honestly feel that Lee wants to lead the team and the only thing playing JJ early in the game does is frustrate Lee, especially in a situation where it's a wasted drive and JJ doesn't produce. I think Lee wants to be in there and score. Not that he or anyone else would admit this, it's just the vibe I get.

What we know about Lee and his character, I think he is a total team player and 100 % invested in whatever we choose to do. Like I said, he knows this is his team and that JJ just rents the spot for a series or two each game.

I think it was more than telling that JJ didn't see the field until midway through the 4th quarter after throwing that beautiful 40+ yard pass to Randle in the 2nd quarter.
