Defense is good enough to be in the top 10, here is how LSU rates on offense compared to the other 9 top 10 teams (Rest = average of the other nine teams): Total Yards: LSU - 86th, Rest - 22nd Yards per game: LSU - 102, Rest - 20th Passing Yards: LSU - 116th, Rest - 53rd Rushing Yards: LSU 35th, Rest - 24th Total Points: LSU - 103rd, Rest - 14th Points per game: LSU -68th, Rest - 13th What this shows is that in rushing offense, we are right up there with the other top ten teams.....passing offense is of course the problem. The silver lining is that we don't have to show dramatic improvement to be where we need to be. Get more consistent in the passing game and who knows what could happen....all the other elements are there.
Great point. Why not let Shep throw a pass or two? At least get away from what has become so predictable. Shep needs to be more involved in the offense, anyway. At least change things up in addition to some downfield throws... :geauxtige
