LSU essentially won the AP title tonight. Oklahoma State, who has almost half of the 2nd place votes over Alabama, will definitely give pause to those voters to jump Bama all the way to #1. Not like it will matter. But anyways.

I agree and don't think it will be an issue as we go 14-0. The BCS was devised to eliminate split titles. Before the BCS they were common and any team that received either a AP or UPI #1 in the last vote could justifiably claim one. The ficticional titles the gumps claim are only recognized by them and yes the joke is on them. If AP voted us #1 after a loss Jan 9 I would note it as recognition of a good season but not add it to our list of titles.
