visit http://www.thelouisianasportsmen.com/ there is no silence, just realism of knowing why LSU is the great team they are...Miles is not the great coach many have labeled him...the jury is still out on his "greatness" and will be for a couple of more years... Larry Coker won a national title and barely lost a second, where is he now? Is he among the all-time "great" coaches for Miami?
Pete Carroll won 1 BCS NC and barely lost a 2nd. Spurrier hasn't won one in the BCS era Saban won 1 hasn't come close since Stoops has only 1 Tressel only has 1
Horrible comparison. Coker progressively got worse. CLM has improved every year he has been here. Try again.
so why not join this dandy don homer in congratulating the LSU football team, coaches and staff on making it to the BCSCG and having the chance to become the 1st 2-time winner of the BCS?
I wouldn't say Miles has progressed each year. I'd probably say he's been pretty consistent each yr...I think Coker did the same for his first 3 yrs then began his downfall...Miles just needs to find a better replacement for Pelini and try to keep Crowton around. That should keep things steady. Next year will be much tougher, but that's a later debate...
Opinionated thread for sure! Boss gone for the day, I read the entire thread, not taking OT's advice and now... My head hurts.
I believe in the players, that's never changed...best group of seniors ever? pretty good debate I bet. by the way, Spurrier is in the "great" coaches club so far. His dominance in the 90's speaks for itself. The other coaches listed are on their way if they can keep up with the pace they set...Tressel, Stoops, Carroll, Saban in order of who is closest to getting in great coach's club...national level.
Not sure that making fun of SabanFan is a good enough reason for you drag this thread up. At least put the girl in the bikini back up as an avatar. I miss her.
