Coach O goes 6-2 he should get the job. There's an energy and enthusiasm in Tiger Stadium that hasn't been there in years. I was at ole miss game people were actually WATCHING the game, not texting, not getting up to go eat and not clogging the steps hugging each other cuz they thought they knew one another but were actually too drunk to know the difference. Requiring a run of the table to get the gig is ludicrous - for those of you under 30 that's an adjective not a hip hop singer. I say DAMN the pirogues! Keep Coach O! > discuss among yourselves<
Keep the bar where it's at and hire the best. but so far I am pleased with the team under his direction
Now that Miles has had an epiphany on how he needs to open up the offense, I think he should be rehired. Right,Tap?
Who cares what his record is? People like change and Tiger Stadium would be rocking if Curley Hallman was coach right now and he opened up the offense. If he's the best coach, he's the best coach. I wonder what % of people blindly support him because of his local personality? Still, Im fine with hiring him. Think he's a Dabo-like coach, which isn't all bad.
I agree...2 a point. We also need 2 b mindful that this is a bit of a "honeymoon" period. Things will seem really good compared the trend we were following under Les, at least offensively. I'm pulling for O. I just don't want LSU to make a decision based on emotion.
I frankly am sold on the HC, DC, and most of the other coaches. I am not 100% on board with the OC and peveto. The reason being I really (especially at this point seeing what we are seeing ) believe that either the OC under miles were handcuffed or strong armed into calling miles' 4 plays and that is all. I think we are seeing the tip of the iceburg with what we could be under the current OC. Not to discredit Ensminger but he isn't the hot get for OC, he seems to be a stop gap IMO. He could be the answer but I am not 100% ready to jump on. I am more on board with Eaux as the HC and Aranda as DC for sure. Long story short I think we are closer to what we need then we think. Sometimes that grass isn't always greener out in Houston.
I don't think he has to win them all to get the job, but it would certainly help. However if he loses two, Alleva should look at all potential candidates including O.
