Yeah, both "Peyton" and "Eli" do talk like a couple dumb hicks (to make it worse, they both even look mildly retarded). I don't remember "Archie" coming across like dumb hick. I wonder if Peyton and Eli got it from their mom, or if they just got like that by virtue of being graduates of Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Regardless, I have a favorable impression of the Mannings -- even if they had no ties to Louisiana, and even if their dad wasn't an NFL QB himself -- i'd still think that having two brothers as NFL QBs makes the NFL more interesting.

Maybe I am confused but didn't Archie Manning play QB for the Saints for ten years? Or do Peyton and Eli have different fathers???

Like I wrote elsewhere, it's cool to see an ex-Saint QB have two kids become Pro QBs. What I'm saying here, is that even if Archie had never played football, I still think it is cool to see two brothers (Peyton and Eli) as NFL QBs -- one brother (Peyton) leads the Colt (and led them to a SuperBowl last year) and the other brother (Eli) leads the Giants (and led them to a SuperBowl this year). I find the whole sibling rivalry thing to be interesting, and I look forward to those games when Peyton's team has to play Eli's team (which hopefully they schedule every season).

I was surprised how much bigger Doug Williams was than Terry Bradshaw. I thought Terry was 6' 4" and 240 when he played, and Doug dwarfed him. Looked 6'6" and 280.

I'm sure terry has shrunk at least a couple inches...

Brian Mitchell was a Louisiana QB... but a returner for the Redskins vs. Buffalo...
