As the Lombardi trophy was being presented, there were 3 Louisiana quarterbacks on the stage that had won a Superbowl (Doug Williams, Terry Bradshaw, Eli Manning) and one in the audience (Peyton Manning). Pretty impressive. Unfortunately, none went to LSU.

Hate them but claim them sometimes.

    Humorous.

You wouldn't know it if you listened to 'em talk? They all sound like rednecks now. What happened to their "yat"? You generally can't make that go away.

7 of the 42 Super Bowls won by Louisiana products.

Woodley and Humphries each lost 1, are there any other Louisiana QBs I'm missing?

Terry Bradshaw tried to get into LSU and he will readily admit that, in his own words, he was too dumb to get in.

I guess he will be a Southern Miss fan now?

    What? Too premature?

Wow. I just do not understand why people think this way.

Yat? Geez. They grew up in the garden district and went to a private uptown HS. They probably didn't have many yat friends. Good for them. I have a high degree of respect for the Manning family. Archie is a real humble guy. His sons have accomplished something so few ever have. Sure I'd love to have seen them go to LSU, but so what now. They're Louisiana boys. Congrats to Eli! Superbowl MVP! Wow. What a freakin great game!!!

I was trying to prompt SabanFan, he usually busts a vessel when anyone says the word Manning.

They may be from La. but they don't have any allegiance to LSU, for sure. Peyton even went to a USC practice to work with Booty. I think it speaks more to the Manning family's character and love for the game- they give a lot back, though much of it could be said to be self-serving- a la Manning Academy; however, they surely shouldn't need the money.

I grew up pretending I was #8 in the back yard and had his jersey so I have a slight bias to them.
