With 5 National Championships- 2 Baseball, 2 College Football, and 1 Super Bowl Championship, Louisiana is at the top of the food chain in National Championships since 2000. I know that Boston and Florida are right there with us, but who else has enjoyed more Championships, in the Big 3 sports (Baseball, Football, and Basketball) in that time frame. It is a great time to be from the Great State of Louisiana. :laflagwav
the last 10 years have been the greatest in my life sports wise and luckily i experienced them in my prime somewhat. young enough to enjoy it and old enough to have perspective. my daughter is 15 mos and will always know the saints as a team that has won a SB. for 33 years, that wasn't true for me. same with the NC's for LSU. in a way, i'm elated that all this happened now and not when i was 2 years old or 82 years old.
I was telling my best friend that the other day, this has been the greatest decade of all time for Louisiana when it comes to sports. We may never see another one like this. The highs and lows of this decade are unbelievable.
Alls I know is my son born in 2007 brought a football NC. Daughter born in 2009 brought a baseball NC and a Super Bowl. I am going to get my wife and work on bringing in some more championships.
Some people can't just go with being excited, they have to prove how right they can be instead. This thread wasn't designed for anyone to point out exact facts, but rather to be able to feel good about how good we have it right now. Obviously some do get it though.
