I was curious how many 5 star athletes you guys think Louisiana will have in the 2011 class and who will they be. Personally, I don't see Rivals giving Louisiana more than two 5 star prospects. I suspect they will be Kenny Hilliard and La'el Collins.

Rivals loses all credibility if they do that. You just can't leave Landry and Johnson out of the top 25 prospects...

Hilliard might not be a 5 star but probably top 50 for sure. I'll say 3 but wouldn't be surprised at 4.

You could make a argument for Rasco but I don't think he ends up in the top 25.

Probably will have 5 in Scout for sure.

We'll have 3. Freak, Collins, and one of Landry/Hilliard/Rasco.

I personally think Rasco is #1 DE type material.. but I'm very high on him.

Landry should be a lock. Hes the second best prospect in the state, IMO. Everything about him is Blue Chip. Haven't seen any Junior WR film that is comparable to him right now. But I haven't see a bunch yet.

It all depends on how many of them list Alabama as a finalist. If so, they'll be a five-star. If/when they commit to LSU and/or omit Alabama...they'll drop a star. :thumb:

I think he's probably one of the top-5 best football players in the nation. He just 'lacks measurables'.. dude can straight out ball though. Just not sure he's going to start high enough to break the top-30.

    He deserves it IMO.

What do you mean by lacking measurables? His height/speed? Pretty much everything about him is Blue Chip. He doesn't need to be 6'3 considering the type of WR he is. I originally would agree that his speed isn't Blue Chip or elite but I've read differently. I read hes a 4.4 guy and his recent highlights looks like he is definitely fast. Its not elite speed...but more than enough in both CFB/NFL if that is true. He'll get taller/bigger too. And hes already a physical beast. Hes 175lbs and plays like hes a 230lb receiver running downfield. Can't wait to see him at about 200lbs, he kinda reminds you of how powerful Josh Reed was for LSU as a receiver. WR with a RB mentality.

Its splitting hairs on the top 5 for Louisiana and comparing them...I just think Landry, Collins, Johnson easily separate themselves as the elite of the elite in the state. You could certainly make arguments for Hilliard and Rasco too. I don't know enough about Rasco personally though. Sylve will be on the rise...IMO.

This was recently discussed on the Scout National Board and he is getting rave reviews. He is a lock to be in the top 100 next year IMO but some said his height and top end speed will keep him from being a 5*. But that is just how rankings work and really do not mean much in the grand scheme of things. He has a physical mentality and fast enough to play like an elite WR in college.

La'El Collins and Anthony Johnson could be in the top 5-10 nationally. After that it's a toss up.

I think Jarvis Landry and Kenny Hilliard will be in the top 50-100 at the least and Jermauria Rasco is kind of a wild card here. The dude set a national sack record as a sophomore previously held by Reggie White, so he can definitely play
