Louis Holmes was in own on his visit this past Friday. I saw him down on the field from the student section before the game and that guy is a man. He looked like he was a NFL player out there. I really hope we land this guy and wish he could have seen LSU played better and seen a better Tiger Stadium atmosphere.
I really wish people would stop saying it wasn't loud, because it was But I agree on this kid being in P&G... he is a monster
It was loud at certain points but I don't feel that it was nearly as loud as it has been at other times this season, also there were plenty of empty seats (mostly north end zone and student section).
Seriously...I was watching the game and I told my grandad that it really didn't sound as loud as normal...And after a few big plays, fans were just clapping--some still sitting down. Just not the typical SEC fan behavior--especially for LSU fans. I was kinda shocked.
Dexter Manley Jr., who would've been the other massive dude standing next to Holmes has apparently commited. Hasn't been announced yet.
their visits go through tonight... Manley has gotten no press but should move from 2 to 4 star on rivals... Holmes will hold out until he has made all his visits..
quote from article in tigerbait "It was Ok," Holmes said. "It was just not what I expected. I don't know. I just didn't feel it. I didn't get a good vibe at all from the visit, plus the location was kind of like in the middle of the country. "It's not the big city setting that I've gotten used to. It was kind of slow for me." I don't know what I'm going to do now," Holmes said. "I'm going to have to do some hard thinking the next couple of days about what I want to do. I had a lot of big expectations about what I was going to see at LSU, and I'm kind of disappointed. "I guess that's why you take the visit to make sure."
No arguments here. The fans as a unit were all looking past the game against Arkansas. I know personally something just didn't feel good about the vibe Friday -- and our horrible performance on the field didn't do anything to help that. We were lucky to win the game IMO. It is quite widely known and believed by a lot of BR residents that this is a pretty boring town in comparison to a lot of other college towns. It's a shame he didn't visit for Auburn, but that's the way it goes.
