No doubt about it, why should Les change anything? Even great QB's can have a bad game. They asked Les if JJ was the starter for next game and he said we have 2 QB's. I think we are going to need JL to finish the deal, not so sure 1 QB is the answer. I think, hope and pray JL will be fine after Western Ky.
we'll never throw the ball all that much with JJ he is a chance of pace QB for a reason he runs the option and he runs it really well Lee will continue to be our predominant passing QB
You sure are quick to bury Lee. No way you or anyone else could know what "certainly" would have happened. Granted, Lee made a couple of ****ty throws/decisions, but none of us can know what would have happened had Miles stayed with him. Lee has proven himself to be pretty resilient and determined, and Jefferson has proven himself to be a phucking moron, who is also a decent change of pace QB. I don't fault Miles for benching Lee the same way he would have benched a Running Back who turned it over, but the way you are stating your speculation as fact is ridiculous. I do give credit to Holtz for his call on Jefferson. As for the Reid play, I remember us getting screwed out of an interception the last time we played there, so I figure we were due to get a call our way. If that guy wanted the catch, he shouldn't have let Reid take the ball away from him. This is big man football and that guy proved to be a 6'5" 250lb pussy. :bball:
Lou Holtz is extremely biased as an analyst and he for some reason does not like LSU. His biases makes him look idiotic. However, if you listen to him talk about other things, he actually is pretty intelligent, witty, etc.
I think that first hit on Lee to start the game, I believe it was the first throw was a trendsetter and made JL uncomfortable all night long. Maybe it is just me but their D seemed to get a lot more pressure on our QB's than we were able to get on theirs. Seems like our QB's were trying to get away from the rush all night.
I'm not disagreeing that his point was spot on, I just think he threw a dart at a depth chart and it hit Jefferson. No doubt Jefferson was a key player, in fact, the key player on offense, I just don't have faith in Lou Holtz predicting this lol. He said something on Gameday Final that annoyed me. Instead of reveling in his prediction which I expected and would have liked, he said something like, "What did we learn tonight? All we learned is that LSU's kickers are better than Alabama's." Such a dumb comment. How can an analyst for national TV not respect a defensive struggle? This game was more entertaining than the Ravens Steelers game will be tonight.
