Lou Holtz just said that LSU will lose a game this year! He said no team that averages only 337 yards a game can't win! Then he said Arkansas will beat the Tigers in Death Valley! I guess he still thinks Notre Dame is gonna win it all!
I think you can count the number of people who care what Holtz think on one hand. Perhaps one finger. The middle one. :hihi:
I continue to be amazed at those who doubt LSU. Sort of like an old Winnfield coach used to say, "if they don't score they can't beat us". What difference does it make as far as our yardage totals as long as we win?
In 1988 when Notre Dame won the National Championship running the option with Tony Rice @ QB, I doubt they were gaining much more than 337 yds / game either. What an idiot! I decided to check. His 1988 team averaged 324.91 yds / game during the 12 game season. Again, what an idiot!
All of this bantering crap from ESPN is purely for ratings, and is meaningless from a football perspective.
this...two weeks ago Lou was spittin nothing but good things about LSU. Guess he drew the other straw this week.
When I saw this thread title I thought it may have originated 10 years ago...but I see it is actually a fairly new thread....so apparently some people are just now coming to the realization that Lou Holtz is special in the head. Without NBC helping him recruit he wouldn't be where he is today. Spray some "trick be gone" on that dude.
