I have been hearing some rumblings that we still have a shot at Loston. I thought it was a done deal with him going to Clemson. Any info is appreciated.
Not sure if you've heard this but he's Russell Shep's cousin and will camp at LSU. Many do believe we still have a good shot and maybe his early committment to Clemson was to take the heat off.
Yea I knew he is Sheppards cousin and I remember Shep said that Loston would commit to LSU but that was before his commitment to Clemson. Does Sheppard continue to try and change his mind or has he given up?
Wouldn't surprise me if Loston stumped everybody with his letter of intent, I don't think the young man can hold firm on a decision right now. He is easily swayed and pretty emotional. When his LOI is received by a school we'll know where he is headed.
Check out this Athlon video with Loston and his HS coach. Key phrase from his coach "Loston is kinda verbally committed to Clemson" and one from Loston "At the time I committed to Clemson I felt really comfortable there". I thought Loston was supposed to enroll in January at Clemson. I could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere.
Loston is not solid anywhere, and I won't consider him to be until signing day. It may be Clemson, it may be LSU, or it could even be Texas A&M. Despite being committed to Clemson, we have just as good of a shot as the other 2.
He thought he was going to be able to enroll early but recently discovered that it won't be an option. I think he has a few more classes than he thought or did not take enough hours this summer. That gives everyone more time to influence his decision.
