:geaux: Did Loston play tonight? I didn't get to watch the game, listened on the radio. :LSU231:

I don't think so, but Jones played a lot better.

Jones had a couple of good sticks early on in the game last night. He covered that one receiver and hit him just as he caught it for a short game. That was encouraging.

The rest of the night unfortunately you didn't hear his name called and that's not good. Saw a couple of times where he was way out of position. And then there was the highly embarrassing attempt of his at a 1 arm flying tackle of the running back blasting up the middle.

I only heard peterson's name once or twice? was that good or bad?

Exactly what I was thinking. For defensive personnel, hearing their name is usually only a good thing when it's a big play.

I agree with you. Peterson played lights out and it seemed that Vandy avoided throwing to his side. Likewise, Jones played fairly well and had a couple nice open-field tackles

Good for a conerback...not so much for a free safety. But to be honest, they didn't exactly air it out.

Jones looked better...at least looked like he was willing to hit. He wiffed on that one play though.

Constant, steady improvement will do for another two games. I'm sure if he's still underperforming by then, the coaches may shake some things up. But who knows?
