    Awesome news.

His year is probably lost and will inevitably redshirt (unless we have injuries).

Hate to play the spoiler but is there any news on his surgery? Rehab? I'm glad he is cleared but I think I read somewhere that he could not have surgery until he was cleared. I'm pretty sure he won't see the field this year if the injury is that bad.

It is not a serious injury in terms of pain and he could decide to play through it without surgery. It is the scaphoid bone (also called the navicular bone) is one of eight carpal (wrist) bones. It will require a temporary screw and if not treated it will heal improperly and potentially cause long-term pain or arthritis.

Only about a 3 month rehab if he decides to go through with it.

I figured this last night when the advocate and Tigerbait confirmed it but Sonny at TSD wouldn't. Either way at least we know his correspondence class has been accepted by the system and the clearinghouse now has everything they need to make a verdict.

I don't expect it to be much longer for the verbal clearance from the clearinghouse.
