Some of us live out of state, and true, we prefer exposure to not seeing LSU on at all--like it was when I moved out of state in '97. And, WHAT is wrong with going to bed @ 9 p.m.? Hmmm?
I'm not here promoting exposure for sure. Heck, if LSU isn't on national tv, it's a better excuse for me to go watch it in a sports bar.
If our positions were flip-flopped and Bama were #1 and we were #2, then we would be getting all of the night games that Bama has been enjoying this year, and last time I checked they were a top-tier team. We don't have to go back to the Dinardo days to get some night games, just can't be top dog in the SEC. But I like being the top dog in the SEC because it means you're the top dog in the country. All I can say is I really hope we win on 11/5 because if Bama gets all of these night games AND THEN takes our #1 ranking...I think that's the point when I'll get *really* upset. But as long as we're #1, I can deal with it! However, I would like to see some kind of cap on the number of games that we can have on CBS. Kind of a share-the-love type thing.
plenty of sites broadcast the game to those untelevised areas. for free. thats what ustream is for. whens the last time nielsen called anyone anyhow. do you have one of those crazy meters on your tv. ratings are fictitious but somehow dictate everything. nothing if the kids are asleep. and you arent too tired yet.
It's true that I can find the game on the Internet, but it's less fun to watch my Tigers on my laptop. I don't have a meter on my TV, but I did see Nielsen Ratings on my caller ID a few weeks ago (I didn't answer the call.) I honestly didn't think they actually called anyone. When you have kids, you're always too tired. Just sayin...
theres this new thing called hdmi video out that makes life easy. thatd be an interesting call. what game were you watching? umm all of them. correct.
This is, of course, true. If I could hook an IV up that fed football to my veins on Saturdays, I would. I was going to say something about your thoughtful editing of my last comment, but well, you have a point...
The only home night game that Bama has had was Vanderbilt. If we played them it would be a night game as well. Bama plays at 5 this weekend- at Mississippi. Other games so far (someone can check this). Kent St was 11:20 @ Penn St was at 6 North Texas was 11:21 a.m. Arkansas was at 2:30 Florida was @ 7 Vanderbilt was @ 7 Being #1 or #2 isn't significant in terms of this context. In fact, being a top ten team vs. another top ten team is all it takes.
