i agree with all of those points. i dont drink either. and i have seen people passing out drunk no matter what the time.

    i do too.

i wonder how other teams feel about playing at night? and not at ts, but just for their own home games? do other teams prefer night games? or is it just a tradition we cherish?

No, I disagree. You can get drunk for a day game or night game, it is not about that. It is about the tradition and the atmosphere of a night game at Death Valley.

I can't believe we are actually having to explain this to "Tiger Fans".......

This! I do drink, but rarely to the point of walking into the stadium drunk as a skunk. IT IS NOT ABOUT GETTING DRUNK AT THE GAMES!

If you never ask for or negotiate for an item or condition, you have no chance of receiving the item or condition. My position is that LSU should try to bargain for what's in our best interest. Yes, I agree that we might not get what we want, but, at least ask for it.

Also, are you sure that the other SEC schools would be in a position to "grant LSU that request"? I did not know that. It could be that the other SEC schools don't care that much about our request because they prefer day games. I thought that LSU is the only SEC school with the night game tradition.

I posted my thoughts on this on the last page, but all teams want night games. Georgia fans have been complaining about their lack of home night games too.

I was going to games in Tiger Stadium on Saturday night 45 years ago, so I don't need you explaining tradition to me.

So you can understand why so many fans are upset about CBS' decision to not put at least 1 SEC home game at night, right?

Abosolutely I understand. But as I've said elsewhere that's the price you pay for success. As long as CBS has the first selection and they choose LSU we will be playing in the afternoon. If they pass, then ESPN will jump at the opportunity to televise us in prime time.

And as I responded to Jean Lafite you can ask the SEC for special dispensation, just don't expect to get it.

The New Era of Tiger Stadium dominance will require that we change our attitude and be just as fired up for day games. I love the mystique of Night Games. However, I love winning and being the highlight of the nation as we compete for a National title a whole lot more!

If Tiger fans are worthy of a championship program of this caliber then we should make the Death Valley "Night time in tiger stadium" no matter what time it actually is! Our tradition was neat, but wouldn't we prefer the tradition of SEC and BCS National Championships! I'd rather win all the time during the day than win most and lose a few at night(or winning a few and losing most)! Our team is giving us new traditions that make us even prouder to be tigahs. Lets reciprocate and give them traditions worthy of their performance.

Meantime lets get on CBS to move our games to primetime! We keep winning, they will have 2!

I agree, I don't see them changing their ridiculous ways......nor am I asking to go back to the DiNardo days (shutter). I was just looking for some sympathy anger towards the clowns at CBS. haha

It bites that we have to just take everything they jam up our........ and lose an important aspect of what makes Death Valley such a unique place to be on Sat.
