Two embattled coaches meet and one will likely begin their demise with a loss. Malzahn in his 5th year at Auburn and Les in his 12th at LSU. Neither offense looks like what the HC normally marches out there which is great for LSU and really not so good for Auburn. Gus M is essentially without a qb and Les is strangely with one as Etling falls in his lap just in time to save his ass if he doesnt get in the way. No promises there, however. Winning this one doesn't mean much; losing this one could mean someone's job. Such is life in the SEC. Home team will be playing hard and it will be tough to win on the road here. LSU will have to earn it bc this AU team and coach are feeling the heat which should make it worthy of the burning barn 20th yr anniversary. Still the most unbelievable site for me at a college football game when after a commercial ESPN zoomed in on the LSU fans with the roaring fire seemingly 10 feet behind them while engulfing the stadium. Or so it seemed. Yet Ron Franklin kept reassuring us that everyone was safe as Raion Hill had a pick 6 and a late 2 pt conversion return to seal the deal. All Eyez on 3 got shut down, Nicky Savoie was better than Lafleur as usual and Wade Richey still sucked yet went on to have a decent NFL career. But luckily Dameyune Craig got hurt and some scrub white dude came in to replace him which sealed their fate. Great for LSU and hopefully tonight has a similar outcome. Les, you need a victory here or you're going the way of the dodo bird and the bloated Terry Bowden. 2018 is closer than you think.
yeah lemme know how that firing and hiring goes. would take them a year to decide if they should fire him even before they have anyone within grasp to sign.
Auburn' run defense is not that good. Fournette shreds it today. Harris comes in for mop up duty in the fourth quarter.
They should both be fired after this game, really. But the season will dredge on and folks need shit to talk about, so they both get to continue giving everyone every reason to jaw. We'll know in November and not 2 seconds after the iron bowl who is prepared to spend most money. I expect the barn is already shopping
You're right, they should probably both be given the boot. I'm not sure about Malzahn, but I don't see any way Miles can survive with a loss in this one. Bama is a loss, Ole Miss is a loss, Arky is probably a loss. That would mean 4-5 losses not even counting tough games against Florida and A&M.
