Nick should pick up his commit soon. Like to see fast corners coming to LSU. I would love to see us become a hot spot for CB's going into the NFL.

    Or not...

ESPN has him as a commit to FL. Go figure. We have 3 of the Top 25 safeties in the country though.

    As of July 27th:

Atkins was misunderstood several weeks ago when someone in the media thought he had committed to Florida.

“I said the wrong thing and I didn’t mean that I wanted to commit to Florida. I really like Florida and I wouldn’t mine going there but my options were still open and I said the wrong thing but LSU is my top school right now,” Atkins said.

He also went on to say he would commit in November and that he would try to attend all of the LSU home games this year. He also said that LSU would probably be his only official visit.

LSU is already becoming DB central for the NFL. It will start with high draft picks in Webster and Daniels in the 2005 draft and will continue as long as Saban is at LSU.

I wouldn't call a kid who has already changed his mind twice a lock that's for sure.

Yeah this guy sounds as much of a lock as Perilloux does for Texas.

    DB central

ah the fragile minds of 18yr old boys...

i always felt this guy was coming to LSU even after his supposed "commit" to Florida. as he stated, I believe this was a misunderstanding from the beginning. Dandy Don reported over a month ago about a possilbe DB commit from FL (and an out of state OL commit). I always figured the FL DB was Atkins. I mean what more does a top rated CB need than what LSU can offer??

-top rising program in the nation
    -defending Natl Champs
    -SEC
-immediate starting options w/ C-Web & TD leaving
-the best hands on college DB (or for that matter D) coach in the nation
    -connections to the NFL

You have nothing to add? Was that adding something that you added you had nothing to add, or was it not adding something because you added nothing?
