:thumb: I think most, I hope, will take a wait and see position to see how this season plays out( unlike some fans who have already written off JL before he even saw the field the last game). As far as the offense is concerned, it was quite a turnaround compared to the first four games in terms of moving the ball, had it not been the turnovers and penalties which I am optimistic that these can be corrected. We have seen that with Mile's LSU team before. I am hoping JL continues to improve and stay consistent, allowing the offense to use its talent in a more balanced way, and therefore making games more competitive and interesting. I think he has grown, being given quite enough time last year riding the bench, and hopefully learning (like MF was when JR was "hogging" the game playing time). I believe in his mental toughness, and fighting spirit, as well as his commitment (cutting down his weight coming into this season). The coaches know their backs are against the wall; let them work at it. Who knows, things in the end may turn out better than they seem now. My main criticism is that maybe they should have started grooming JL earlier this season instead of wasting four games just to be convinced that JJ doesn't have it.
Well, it was also the multiple drive killing penalties that hurt....... Minus the penalties and turnovers, this offense I believe CAN move the ball. I am just waiting for it to hit on all cylinders.
THIS!!! Yep ... x 1000 Some people just like to bitch. They are miserable, and want to make everyone around them miserable. People need to lighten up and support their team, and its coach. Positive energy goes a long way in helping a person make the right decision. :geaux:
i haven't seen anyone posting here that doesn't have concerns. everyone does. everyone has stated that. multiple times. in multiple threads. but threads that are discussing the positives of this team should be used to discuss the positives of this team. in a thread discussing what qb a does well or doesn't do well, lets discuss that qb, not "well miles is gonna phuck up how we use him so it don't matter" in a thread about whether or not the refs phucked up the call at the end of the game, lets keep it to the refs. we got plenty of fire miles threads dating back to '05. pick one of them to post the fie mile comments.
So you would, for instance, get an athlete that can run and throw some? Maybe run pitch options because he's better suited for that than pocket passing. Of course his passing decisions might not be the best when he had to drop back. And since he was an athlete and not a polished QB, he could be confused sometimes. But your right, we could probably get to 5-0 that way.
