Sounds like he wouldn't even be a partial if that is true.

Does 14 get him in at USM?

Great post. One thing I have learned under Les Miles tenure at LSU is to be patient. We have a lot of good chemistry with our team. Just look how CLM has handled RP and how well he has performed and the things he said after winning the SECCG MVP award. I really don't want any players with a lot of baggage. If this guy has a lot of baggage then we win by not getting him. Your post questions his thought process. That's a big RED FLAG in my book.

Because that is the only one that he could play for without going to JUCO.

Dude, not everybody wants to play for LSU, believe it or not and we still don't know the real reasons as to why he chose USM over LSU...And your comment about costing himself millions of dollar for not coming to LSU is wrong and not so smart.

3 of the greatest receivers of the past 20 years have come from small universities: Randy Moss- Marshall; Terrell Owens- UT Chattanooga; Jerry Rice- Miss. Valley State...I don't think that going to those schools has cost them millions.

Finally, going to USM didn't cost millions to Brett Favre.

I would venture to say quite a few WR's cost themselves millions by going to schools like LSU.

Look at what Hawkins has now done at Cal. D. Brown will be the guy at USM, and his stock will go way up.

I dont know if yall have noticed but Southern Miss has a pretty good program.

I see your point and LSU does offer many more opportunities than schools like USM. However, NFL scouts follow the talent and he is a physical freak. In this case, I do not think he made a poor decision. The argument you are making does come into play for many recruits but it also works the opposite way for kids in Brown's situation. Hew will have a few negatives that scouts will look at like level of competition and exposure, etc.. but when he is not even sure when he will touch a field by going to a program like LSU you have to think he is being somewhat smart in damage control. He will now get to at least play most of his career to show off his abilities.
