I must respectfully disagree with this notion...just ask a guy like Marques Colston. If he played for LSU and displayed the same skills he showed at hofstra, do you think he would have been drafted in the 7th round?

Statistically, this kid will NOT be a randy moss or jerry rice, he's got a better chance of becoming wayne chrebet or Kelly Washington once he get's to the NFL. Sadly, Washington got more guaranteed money not because he's a better pro than Chrebet, but because he showed his skills in the SEC instead of an Also Ran of D1 Football.

Sadly, my opinion would be if he could have qualified, he would be at LSU...just an opinion.

Was just kidding. Whats funny is an LSU fan could have posted that same thing without much trouble but when its posted by a rival fan its a problem. I guess thats why we each have our own boards to post on.

For the record, what you posted was mainly accurate. Sometimes its hard for homer fans to see things objectively although more of us do than you would think from reading the message boards. The only fault you should have with the post was the interjection of a few opinionated comments. The facts were indeed the facts and they were correct.

    He is not a Tiger.
It is probably not the first bad choice he has made and it won't be his last.
    Good luck to him.
    Move on to other things.

Southern Miss isn't Hoftstra, though.. a lot of NFL players have come from Southern Miss. The best choice would clearly be LSU, but obviously he's not going to qualify so he took the easier route to playing time.

LSU could develop him more, showcase his skills more, and just generally get him more attention.

But I can't blame the guy for not wanting to go JUCO.

QFT. The comparison of USM to Hofstra is ridiculous. Hofstra would be lucky to get the coverage USM gets for one game. USM plays major OOC teams every year and will get exposure to every NFL scout. Given his situation, USM makes the most sense. Also I don't know if this been touched upon yet, this makes the WR corps less crowded for Reuben Randle to come to LSU in the 2009 class.
