It's not a two year contract with the Les Miles clause. That's the point. Les Miles clause is the clause that says the contract is void 6 months after Les is fired or quits. Great for LSU but coaches don't like it. That's why chavis left.

This hire came so fast that it must have been pre-arranged. Coach Miles never really fires anybody overtly. Like several coaches before him, Steele was likely told he might be better off finding some greener pastures. Miles already knew who he wanted and now he finally had the power to get a "no Les clause" contract past Aleva, who is now toothless and needs to find greener pasture himself.
