Puh-lease. You can call it wild if you want, but if he was a regular Joe in a nightclub fight, he wouldn't have had an LSU lawyer covering his butt to avoid a charge.

An unimportant LB, Odom, was kicked off the team, but the future star QB got to stay.

    Politics.

You really must don't know nothing about Odom and everything he did while at LSU ....people were saying Mile was to soft on him.

If a regular Joe or Jane was in a nightclub fight he or she would've just got their ass thrown out the club no news,, espn and newspapers and everybody else would know about it.

If a regular Joe or Jane attempted to get in a club, casino etc. with someone else ID they would've been told nice try,get lost, some may have let them in and once again no news, espn and newspapers and everybody else would know about it.

Maybe they should just let him back on the team then.

You don't make it sound like much.

RP deserved to be kicked off the team because he thought he was above the team's requirements. That said, I don't think he was a thug.

Was I happy to get him as a recruit? Absolutely. Did he help us win a NC? Absolutely. But his personal issues got him booted, which was very detrimental to our season this year.

Obviously, hindsight is 20/20, but if we had not signed him we would've gotten a current Heisman hopeful (Colt McCoy)...

Nah just said he's not a "thug" but didn't say he made correct decisions off the field while at LSU. He admitted it was his fault and no ill will towards LSU and Miles so fans need to let the hate for him go.

I sure hope he has learned from this. Maybe one day we'll get to watch him on Sundays and ponder what could have been.

Jail is where they end up. They become thugs way before that.
