Are you serious???? Surely you agree that we would not have won the SECCG last year without him. And if we lose that game we don't win a MNC. So yeah, if I could throw a scholarship in the trash to earn a MNC I would do it again in a heartbeat. Yeah the guy was a total bust....ROFL
I thought players are judged based off of a career, not one play and not one game. Remember, it took Zenon's pick 6 to win the game. Ultimately, he was a bust. My God. To think we could have a QB in his place is scary. Next time I hope they don't put all their eggs in one troublemaker's basket. It would be foolish to think everything started as soon as he stepped foot on the LSU campus. Besides, I've heard that he got into trouble in high school. And yet that same guy has pretty much ruined this season (and maybe the next) for LSU. So, the guy plays well in one game, but ultimately proves to be a gigantic distraction. Good logic. I'd rather have a team guy who is consistent, not always suspended, and a decent person rather than a piece of garbage (he was at LSU, don't know about now) for a QB. I'd rather LSU lose with integrity than win as thugs.
You sound like a Penn State fan... Misguided? Immature? Sure. Distraction? How? He's not here, but when he was here he played well in more than one game. he played well every time he set foot on the field. Thug? Not even in the slightest. Your definition of thug is different from the one used by people who apply logic to their reasoning. Not that it matters because Ryan didn't play defense...
lol - Oh, c'mon, bro. That was weak. Perrilloux was investigated by the feds on counterfeit charges, used a fake ID to get on gambling boat, was suspended after missing a team meeting, skipping some classes and for being late for conditioning workouts, was allegedly involved in a restaurant altercation, was involved in a nightclub fight, and finally, he failed a drug test (some reports said "multiple drug tests"). He was suspended 3 times in 8 months. All of which is thuggish behavior. The feds don't investigate just anybody, and yeah, he "just" used his brother's fake ID, but he was a freaking Tiger, a QB at one of the nation's highest profiled programs. I'd hate to see what you call thuggish behavior. I guess he'd have to kill someone. Yes, the defense was horrid, but do you honestly think we would have lost to Bama if Perrilloux kept his act together? Lee gave that game away. Do you think the team would be this demoralized without all those pick 6's? Even the Arkansas and UGA game could have been different with a QB that could keep the offense moving consistently on the field.
That's two games. Of the four we lost, a top five defense makes them all winnable even with the QB errors which are expected from starting a Redshirt Frosh/Sophmore. Having RP at QB would have been great. Defenses would have been ****ing themselves every Friday night before LSU games, but we would be in shootouts with a defense that can't stop anyone. As Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn have shown, the ****iest of QB play is forgivable with a suffocating, havoc-wrecking defense. Look no further than Alabama (aka LSU circa 2003). With good defensive play, we wouldn't have been asking a young guy like Lee go to the air so much, putting so much pressur eon him, leading to him forcing passes instead of giving him simple stuff, growing him into the playbook. As for being a thug, I'd like to think that you'd have to at least be arrested and charged some crimes. Otherwise it's being a immature kid, full of himself and surrounded by people who won't tell him no.
RP didn't cause LSU to lose these games this year yes it would've been great to have him I know played and competed against him for years but if Lee would've been decent or could at least "manage" a game without momentum and depressing turnovers the season would be decent. Let's not get on the defense or the Senior lead offensive line. Maybe JJ should've got a shot earlier IMO yes and were some players upset that Miles stayed with Lee yes could've caused some dissention but to blame RP for loses is just a sad excuse and please a "Thug" ...come on ppl that say that must haven't really met a thug before and the closest they ever came to or will is one that is on their TV. D.O. or X-Man was more of a thug than RP. RP is not at LSU anymore get over it he had no ill words for LSU so ppl let it go.
I like to think of it this way. If I was in charge of RP's scholarship and had to do it all over again would I give it to him or go for someone else. I give it to him and don't even think about it.
