His numbers are great, he has amazing size, and all the big schools are after him, but somehow according to Rivals he is only the 51st best prospect in Texas. Weird.

Did a little research and I found a few places saying that he didn't even play varsity last year? But I also saw that he was injured for a large part of last year. And apparently they matched up Marcus Tillman against Ian and he couldn't even get a hand on Marcus. If we get him then he is going to be a project.

I'm not so sure he'll be a major project, the coaches were extremely impressed with him. Apparently he dominated everyone else at the camp he went against, and he never played a down of football in the USA. That shows how good Tillman is as opposed to how unpolished Ian is, imo. The word is Marcus has an unbelievable first step and it's hard to block a guy like that when you're 6'9" and have no help.

He's from the Bahama's.... Perhaps his ranking took a hit by competing initially in what is perceived as significantly "weaker competition"??

When I saw his size, and his 40 time, I wondered how he would do as a defensive tackle??? :D

Don't get me wrong, if he decided to come to LSU, he could play whatever position he wants!! --as long as he's a Tiger, I wouldn't care!

Rivals radio this morning said he was almost a Miami lock. The Bahamian connections with south Florida and the Hurricane program are pulling hard at this stud.

It's really hard for a guy 6"9' to play on the dline, guys that big have a real hard time staying down low enough. The olinemen can get down under them and drive them anywhere they want.
