I haven't seen any one try to psychoanalyze RP on this board but we all have seen LSU fans make really bad remarks about RP in the past 6 months or so. So if he were to base his decision on some fans reactions and comments LSU would be out of the picture too, maybe that is why MSU is still in the mix, they don't have enough fans to to post a lot of garbage. :hihi:

Sounds like somebody should get the Internet connection cut at the trailer park, huh?

How on EARTH can these people get so worked up about anything a high school kid does? Holy bejeezus, he's a freaking high school kid! Unbelievable..."get a life" is such a tired cliche, but in this case it fits perfectly.

I sorta see both sides of this one. I don't understand grown men getting all upset over what the kid does. And, many of the grown men who so intensely follow this stuff helped build the vehicle that the kid is now having fun riding.

The kid, on the other hand, should be advised by someone older and wiser, that constantly adding fuel to the fire, no matter how much fun he's having, will upset some people and subject him to criticism, fair or not.

Would I like to have him ? You bet. If he decides to go elsewhere, good luck to him. There will be others. And as the master, Ray Price, says so well in song, "this old world will keep on turning."

If they would really rather their overrated, inaccurate piece of crap quarterback over the likes of RP, who is I believe is quicker and I know is more accurate, then screw those idiots. Id doubt they represent the majority but jeez.

You seriously think RP is quicker than Young? Wow, I've got to see more of this kid.

It's so easy for people to get down on any young QB's ability to throw, but often, over time, they develop their passing ability. Keep in mind, a lot of the running qb's haven't really had to throw much before getting to college. So, being pretty rocky for a year or two should be expected.

I don't think RP is quicker than Vince. I think Vince is a little faster in striaight line speed and bit more elusive. However, I've only seen RP play once. Concerning the passing ability I think RP is better. Hopefully he can try to rely on his passing abilities rather than his running ability. I think he will want to jump out of the pocket at any chance and run instead of pass. This is the type of person he is and it will take a lot of work by Miles to break him of running so much.

On RP, I'm not going to be super pissed that we lost him because I did not expect to get him. However, I do think that it's pretty bush league to leave Mack hanging out to dry one day before national signing day when we really needed a QB this year. I don't think he handled it well at all, and LSU fans would be saying the same if the positions were reversed.

Because of what Perrilloux did, it caused us to not be able to get in on an in-state guy like Chase Daniel.

I know Texas has McCoy, but he was really a backup backup plan.

Congrats on getting him, though because I'm sure he'll be a stud.

    AustinTXFan,

I noticed many of the horn fans have not had the same opinion about kids who did the exact same thing but did it to UT.
    They say
"He realized UT is the place to be"
But the fact is this happens everywhere, UT has gotten several recruits who were committed to a school then changed at the last minute. I guess those kids are liars, trash and loser as well ????

    Hypocracy is all it is...
Not you by the way, you are a great fan of your team....

Also lets not start firing off fireworks just yet. He still may sign with UT, or MSU for that matter.
