i have a friend i went ot HS with on facebook and he always posts stuff like " ole miss is ranked #4, where is LSU?"

and many other posts like that. and honestly i don't even have the heart to post anything back now. i thought this loss was bad enough. the potential losses for bama and ole miss are few and far btwn unlike our road. we need every loss possible tacked on to those two teams as we can get.

i'll be a big razorback fan this weekend.

:geaux: IMO, Old Piss not going for it on 4th & 1 around mid-field with about 5 mins or so left in the game lost it for them. McCluster had been running wild, SC could not stop him and I thought no way can they stop him gaining 1 yd. He was gaining 8 to 10 yds everytime he touched the ball. That was also their next drive after the TD and it looked like they had old "MO" going for them. Instead they punt back to SC. Guess Nutt thought since SC was going 3 and out for the entire 2nd half he still had time to get it back and score. As unpredictable as Nutt is sometimes, I'm surprised he didn't got for it there. We'll never know, but I think if they give it to McCluster in that situation he makes it and gives Ole Myth a great chance to win the game. They had the SC defense on their heels and sucking wind there.

Having said that, I'm not writing the Rebs off at this point. Snead and their offense had a sucky game for sure, but doesn't mean they'll suck all year long. I could be wrong, but I think their offense is much better than what they showed last night, especially when McCluster gets his hands on the ball. IMO it'll be a war when we go play them in Oxford. Nutt always gives LSU hell and this year won't be any different. He's had success against LSU over the years and has beat us two years in a row at this point.

I just hope the Tigers OL and DL continues to improve because we will need it against these guys. SC put a lot of pressure on Snead with the front four and that made a lot of differnence. They sacked him at least twice that I remember. If we can put pressure on Snead with our DL and slow McCluster up some I believe we win. If not, could be a long night in Oxford if Snead can sit back there all comfy will all day to throw. We also need to to be able to run the ball consistently, which I hope will be happening by the time we play these guys. Chuck the Truck and KW rippin' and roarin' all night long would be great and keep Snead and McCluster off the field.:thumb: Hope it happens.

Also, sure looked like McCluster ran to the right about 95% of the time last night. Is that a trend? Not saying he can't run left, but he ddin't do it much in the game. Maybe they're stronger running right or something. Just sayin'. :LSU231:

For all of you complaining about LSU's offense, THAT'S what a bad offense looks like.

Man, how does last nights game make Tiger fans feel about their offense now?

So, That makes 7 fraudulent teams ranked in the top 10 so far this season.

    USC
    Ole Miss
    Oklahoma
    BYU
    Ohio State
    Virginia Tech
    Oklahoma State

man i hope we aren't added to this list.

this is why there should be no rankings early in the season. every season that goes by, shows that a playoff is needed in D-1.

I think games like this and the uF. USC. OU. BYU. Just show us how beatable and normal teams are at this point. No team in the top 10 has played perfect.

it kind of makes you wonder why teams don't schedule their tough games at the beginning of the season, the system we have makes it easier to come back if you lose early, disregard 07, that was an anomaly.

Apparently, SI has four regional covers for its college football pre-season issue. This year's covers were Oregon in the West (loss to Boise State), Okla State in the Mid-West (loss to Houston) and Mississippi in the South (loss to S Carolina).
Guess who was featured on the East cover? Penn State. A win for the Hawkeyes tomorrow night will complete the September perfecta.

Kirk Ferentz coached Hawkeye teams are 6-1 against the "Nittanies". I like our chances... look for me amidst the white out... four guys dressed in Hawkeye black on the 50 yard line, Penn state side, 24 rows up.

    Go Hawks!!

Hope I'm not Germans on this. What's the difference between Ole Miss and Brett Favre?

    Favre is still #4.
