Here's a question then, does Miles interview and if he's the man, accept the HC at Michigan early and upfront, where we can get a good jump on a new HC?

All this may be premature and it'll all play out, I'd rather him stay, but if he's going, I'd like to get a quick start on a search. Saban played around with his anouncment for so long, we were behind most other schools in our coaching search, although it worked out great in the end. Be nice to be a little ahead this time, if it needs to happen

    What' do ya'll think?

An example would be Butch Davis. Word is he'd leave to go to Auburn if Tubbs leaves to A&M. He'd might rather LSU that Auburn, if this open up. And he can recruit lights out.

I hope Miles stays, but if he leaves, I hope it's early enough to where we have a chance to compete for the best out there.

Don't pull a Saban (merry christmas) and leave when most other coaching vacancies had already been filled.

Of course, if Skip and the administation do there job, they should be preparing for any contingancy now.

If you're mad about Carr's announcement, wait till after the SECCG when Nebraska announces Pelini as their new HC.

That plus the rumors about Miles going to UM, will make it very difficult for the staff and players to focus on the bowl game.

I think if LSU makes it to the BCSCG that the players will be ready and the coaches will put their best effort into it because the odds of getting back are small.

Now if it is a lesser bowl I think the distractions will play a bigger part and not as much effort by the staff.

But, I just hope they can all put this aside and win out and stay focused.

Actually we have exactly 4 games left to concentrate on. One perk of looking ahead.

Think CLM will let me suit up this time? I'm sure I can take that freshman kicker.

i actually think that because playing in the nc game is now more likely to happen than not, clm has much more leeway. he can come out and accept the UM job and it wont really affect the team.

id have to trust that a nc is so important to the coaches that they would put in the same effort even after taking a job. is it naive to think this? is there anyway a coach can accept a hc somewhere else and not put much time into the new position til after the nc game? id think that if it could happen it would be with a trustworthy fellow like clm going to a place like um (easy place to recruit to)

Not naive at all. Winning the NC will guarantee CLM to be one of the highest paid coaches in the NCAA. That will give him great leverage if he decides to move on, and if he stays, a pretty nice sized bank account.

Are you serious? That's about as likely as your truck having a true Hemi engine in it.
