Distraction? If any college team in the nation can handle distractions it is this team. Bring 'em on and let our Tigers go out and beat the crap out of our next 3 opponents.

 

We need to put the fire out fast. Someone call the former Iraqi Information Minister quick.

 

CLM will put the smakdown on such talk, as he did w/ RP a couple of weeks ago.

Heck, he may even openly state he will not talk to Michigan at all until the "season is over" for LSU...and why should he talk to them? If they want him bad enough, they'll wait.

If *he* wants it bad enough, he'll wait as well. Every LSU win only increases his leverage and the degree to which Mich fans may want him, so why put that leverage at risk?

Such talk will put recruiting at more risk, however, for obvious reasons.

 

This might work to our advantage. If he retires this early, and LSU wins out and goes to the BCS title game, I can't imagine Les would screw around with the opportunity to win a championship. I don't see Michigan waiting silently until after the game to announce they are asking for permission to speak with Miles. One would think they would get a jump on finding a new coach before January. Leaked information and an ensuing distraction would threaten Miles ability to lead the team into the game.
