I'd have to break the ice. Man, did ya'll see that great game Saturday? *Dramatic pause* Fla St whooped Miami.
Working in Alabama this morning and it is alot of crying going on. I do think it is sad that there is not an SEC team on top of the polls. Alot left of the season.
Im lucky my job allows me to be decked out in gold today....I was quiet last week while they were talkin their smack. Well, I'm not quiet this morning...not a lot of friends at the moment but Im lovin it
'Tis simply a day of bliss here on Amelia Island, where we have somewhat a mixture of Gator and Georgia fans. The Bulldog jerseys went extinct a few weeks ago as the Richtsters can now only be identified by their faded 1980 bumper stickers. The Gator fans still don their national championship garb, but the taunting smiles are so lacking now that it's hard to identify those needing dental work. I would throw on my Hawkeye shirt and head over to the bank, but, alas, it's closed. Some say there's a national holiday to blame, but we know better... don't we, Gator Nation?
One of my coworkers who is a Florida fan and we had a good talk about the game. He said he was watching it at a sports bar and they were all yelling to watch for the fake on the fg. He also said he did not understand why they did not switch their best corner Jenorice Jenkins on Toliver at the end, especially after the first fade pass was attempted. He didn't argue about whether the lateral was good or not on the fake. He just thought it was close. He also said Lee should be our starter and play throughout with JJ sprinkled in for specialty situations (short yardage and inside the 10). He said Lee looked great and that the Florida defense was so bad that they even made JJ look good passing the ball.
I hope we are properly getting ready for this Ohio St. thing, coming up soon. Good Grief, both Michigan St. and Ohio St. don't have to play each other and then don't have to deal with a championship game on top of that. That makes Iowa the great equalizer. Go hawkeyes. PS, I loved that answer the Wisconsin coach gave on why he went for two against the gophers up by 25. He was just following the book, classy. The Minnesota coach apparently hadn't read it.
