1. Oregon- Best all around team 2.Bama - Best SEC team 3.Florida St-undefeated i dont care how close the games were 4.Baylor- they are getting shafted , they beat TCU and should be the 4th team
I agree. They barely got past Georgia Tech. If Florida State isn't going to send a message to Jameis Winston, the selection committee can. Screw him and his thuggery.
1 FSU- They barely won most of their games but they WON all of their games. 2 Bama 3 Oregon 4 Baylor- I think TCU is better right now but I have to reward Baylor for the head to head win.
1. Bama 2. Oregon 3. FSU 4. Ohio St. -------------- 5. TCU--Stronger Schedule and lost to Baylor 6. Baylor--Weaker Schedule and lost to WV, Screw head-to-head and TCU and Baylor suffer from conference that can't make up their mind and no championship game.
The only thing I will add is that the SEC is NOT as hard as people make it out to be. The East is absolutely trash. Mizzou was a Big12 bottom feeder and is now the East champ 2 years running. Really, if not for 3 teams in the SEC, we would be on par or worse than the ACC. The ACC is a 1 team show. The Big 12 is NOT as bad as people think. However TCU is showing the Big 12 what Mizzou is showing the SEC. The Pac12 is most likely the best conference top to bottom. Oregon FSU (haven't lost a game in 2 seasons, RESPECT THAT) Bama TCU (looks like a more complete team and IMO, has the best shot in a playoff because of their D)
I know the argument is that the Big 12 has no conference championship. The NCAA will not allow a league with less than 12 teams to have a CG. So it's not all the Big 12's fault that they don't have one. Although they should have gotten in 2 more teams by now in order to have one.
thats my ballot and same reasoning. did anyone (in their minds) have OSU in before this week? I dont think they did outside the big 10. so smashing another big 10 team gets them in? this is like bama smashing mizzou. it means nothing to me this late in the season if i didnt have them ranked ahead prior. but hey, fickle media, fickle fans.
So the committee chair said that the Big 12 naming TCU and Baylor as co-champs did weigh in their decision. So basically the Big 12 in trying desperately to get TCU in by not declaring Baylor the champ (if they both won out, which they did) actually destroyed Baylor's chances of getting in instead. Oh the humanity.
yeah but we knew this already. they gave the committee an out. i think the committee is proven weak. baylor actually hired a PR firm to coach briles and to push for the team to get in. not successful.
