Regarding the bowl games, I'm amazed at the number of 6-6 (and even 7-5) teams. Really puts our 13-0 season in perspective and how thoroughly dominating we've been this year. :geauxtige
I think in years past there have been years where there weren't enough eligible teams with 6+ wins to fill the bowls and they had to fill with 5 win teams.
I seem to remember a North Texas team winning the Sunbelt with a 5-6 record and going to a bowl a few years ago.
I am extremely interested in Arkansas vs K-State. It is SEC vs. Big 12. I guess me living here and going to the game helps. Which brings me to my point, I have a radically different view that most in relation to bowl games. Everyone looks at the NC game as legit. Its not its mythical. For me the pinnacle for us in the SEC is just that "The SEC Championship" I see the bowl season as "Silly season" its an exhibition nothing more. Now Money is making people angry because some conferences get more etc. That I get. But for a fan to me Bowl season is just that, a silly season. Ohio State vs Florida. PERFECT !!!! drama back story. So for me this season for LSU was a resounding success, the game against Bama will not be as dramatic for me. I wanted LSU to win the SEC and go undefeated. Mission accomplished. The MNC game is an exhibition. Sure we can buy shirts or see Lesticles hoist a crystal ball if we win. But for me I got my SEC championship shirts and hats. We already beat Alabama. Mission accomplished. But I know I am in the minority and sticking to the old school side of things.
