No. That festival doesn't really appeal to me. I appreciate the skill of those guys cooking over an open fire, but their rules are really weird. If you win, you have to cook for them 6 times during the following year, at the times of their choosing, for no pay. Not how I roll.
Don't blame you one bit. I read that they were changing the venue. This will likely hurt it, according to most.
As close as I live to Gonzales I've never been. Where is the old venue and where is the new? I had never really thought about the location other than I knew it was in G Town
I thought the cooking was all done outside over an open flame. There is lots of room inside the Texas Club but with all the cooks outside with their trucks and trailers and equipment there won't be much parking space for the attendees
