so the pats have the 2nd overall pick from the 49'ers? holy crap. with the 2nd pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the new england patriots choose #5, rundmc. sorry maroney. ok so brady, moss, welker, donte and mcfadden? of course belichik will take that white DE Long out of UVA and turn him into a linebacker or something. he fits the mold but id love to see their offense with #5. probably the smart thing to do since I assume 55 tds and 6 picks for brady at the end of the season may look decent enough to stand pat on offensive weapons.
the Pats have the luxury of the best front office/scouting department in the NFL. They'd be wise to trade the pick for several early-to-mid rounders and restock their old defense.
