Note that one of the top LBs in the 2010 high school class is Chase Williams, the son of the new defensive coordinator of the Saints, Greg Williams. I'd like to think with the addition of Chavis, this kid could easily be swayed to play college ball just upstream from his dad's new gig. Anyone know where Chase Williams is leaning?

It was mentioned in the TP that he will graduate in December and enroll in a college in January. He will finish out high school in VA. He visited LSU this past weekend. He is listed on Rivals as a 6' 3'' 235 lb. ILB, and has a few offers, the biggest name offering is probably WV at this point. We already have Welter as an ILB and several big time names on the board, but since none are from LA they certainly are not locks. A defensive coordinator's son is intriguing, but we will have to wait and see if we offer.

He isn't leaning anywhere right now but making a bunch of visits.

I mentioned awhile back that he was looking into moving to New Orleans to attend HS but that did not work out because he is going to graduate early and enroll early and he couldn't find a school that would accommodate those plans.

He will be back at LSU for the Spring game.

chad jones will not be moved to linebacker as far as early spring ball reports go. chavis is considering moving either mcray or coleman, however i think jones has more ability. I believe one of them will be moved because loston will get some P/T when he hits campus. i promise you that, it may not be till later in the season but if he had been in baton rouge for spring ball he would be playing early. i think loston and peterson will be two of the best defensive players we have signed this decade....loston will be better than landry write that one down........but getting back to the post i hope someone steps up because i think we are average at linebacker but more so we are weak at middle linebacker i just dont like curtrera at that spot

I think he will be fine, he played pretty well last year (curtrera). Baker will serve as a huge back up and Minter as well. I think we will be fine at LB its all about coaching. We have that now.
