Are we weak at this position? I noticed we only signed one 4 star last year, 1 the year before that, and we don't have any this year. Do any of these lineman or athletes we are signing fit into this position?

We're very talented with Ali and Beckwith. Behind that it's a lot of unknown. We'll know more at the end of the season.

There has been some talk that Chad Jones might move to LB.

You can't completely go by the stars, especially when looking at past classes.

Riley appears to have a lot of talent with the little PT he had last year. He is quick and gets to the ball. Odom was a big recruite last year, he just needed to fill out more. So hopefully he lives up to the promise, if so things will be OK. Im not sure about Sheppard. Cutrera played well in his limited time as well. Im not sure if Cutrera is quite quick enough to be an every player, but could be great in relief.

Shomari Clemmons, who we signed last year but didn't qualify, is signing again this year. He's a big, physical safety who will more than likely move to linebacker. It seems to be a growing trend among the better teams in college football to have massive d-linemen that can keep the o-line off of the smaller, faster linebackers.

We signed 4 LB's last year. Two redshirted, one is resigning this year. We are OK. We will need a few next year, though.
