These 3 most assuredly do have scholarships reserved with their names. In another year you may be right, but as I said earlier, I think our coaches feel like we need to get a certain amount of Louisiana prospects, and Bell would be included in that. At this point, Tahj Jones & possibly Chris Faulk appear to be the only other 2 possible Louisiana commits in this class. We'll know more after summer camps though as some guys will likely shine & that we haven't heard much about yet.
If either Shaquelle Evans or Marlon Brown commits tomorrow, Bell is done. I believe you would agree with this statement, Cparso. I forgot about DeBose. I think you could add him to that list as well. Patterson we haven't offered yet. Not sure why we haven't. Bell can't possibly be #2 on our board.
Hard to argue, but what are the odds? Can't find much on Evans speaking about LSU. Brown said he likes LSU, but he's said that about a few schools. Have either said they're close to committing?
My point wasn't about odds, but of the fact that there is no way possible Bell is #2 on our board. Evans likes LSU, Brown has too many offers and looks to be staying close to home (Tennessee most likely?), Patterson is in our backyard but we haven't seen enough to offer him I suppose. Blake is not out of the question, especially with Shepard seeing him so much.
Other possible LA guys along with Jones and Faulk who might have a shot after camps is Ainsworth who will need if we do not get any OOS prospects and/or Faulk can't get his grades in order. Faulk and Ainsworth could be a possibility in the same regard. Lacy would be a surprise last minute consideration if there is room and no more issues arise. The other guy on my radar is WR Ricky Johnson out of Carencro who has 4.4-4.5 speed, 6'1, 180. If we land Randle and Bell we will probably scare of some of the big name guys such as Patterson, DeBose, and Duron Carter and I think we need a 3rd WR. Just a thought. I am assuming we will have a grey shirt or 2 in this class and this could satisfy the number or in-state guys Miles wants. What are the chances Sentimore, Tajh Jones, Faulk, or lets say Lacy would commit on those terms?
I think both Brown and Evans will take all their visits prior to committing. Shaquelle seems to be one who wants to "enjoy" his recruiting process and letting folks pawn him a little. Brown has expressed an interest in playing with Barkley so USC is still very much in the picture for him.
This is just my opinion but I think Bell is gonna be a super star. I think he would end up being a huge miss by CLM if he lets him get away. We shall see how the season plays out ond the numbers he puts up. His team mate is gonna get some looks from other schools as well. I still think there are some in state guys getting over looked this year that will end up being just as good or better than the guys we are getting from OOS.
Dang USC commits Patrick Hall and Randall Carroll were given 5 stars in the updated rankings at TOS. That makes five of their ten commits five star.
