I agree Bostic is a key recruit. His recruitment would be a step forward in solving our Linebacker problems for next 3 to 4 years. It's going to be hard pulling him away from the Florida teams. Keeping my fingers X:thumb:

Is it possible Mingo has a favorite other than LSU? Heaven forbid The Gumps!

We're definitely his favorite but HE said Tennessee, Oklahoma and Arkansas could be three darkhorses to watch out for as time goes on.

I doubt Mingo goes anywhere but LSU. If he prolongs the process too long, then LSU may go elsewhere for their OLBs. I doubt it gets to that point.

Mingo should commit to LSU sooner than later.

I'm thinking Tahj Jones will get a spot once (if?) he qualifies.

If the other recruits, (bostic-mingo) commit first I don't think LSU has room for Jones. He does have 4.8 speed but this is one year where the struggling to qualify player is gonna be left out at LSU. Unless he is Superman... you always save a spot for Superman!

I expect Tahj Jones & Mingo to be a part of this class (just as talented as anyone else on the board & in state guys) - the question, IMO, is whether we are willing to take 5 with guys like Bostic still on our board.

Parso, I don't see how you turn down Bostic. I don't think we can. If he commits early enough, then the question becomes do we take Tahj Jones. I think he is the one that's on the outside looking in.

Put it this way, if both were to say they would commit and ask LSU to choose, I say we would choose Bostic.

I hope we take 5 LBs, actually. We're already talking Theriot going to FB. Clemons is far from certain. We're still way too thin at LB. That makes only 2 legit LBs taken in the past 2 years. We need 5 LBs to balance that out.

Yea, Bostic would be a tough one to turn down, although I haven't seen much in the way of where he rates on our coaches board. I just think we're getting to the point where we have to make sure there's room for some Louisiana guys.

No kidding. What a fantastic problem to have. Hopefully, Sentimore, Davenport, Bell, and Randle scratch that itch, with maybe Montrell Connor as an athlete? Who else?

When you consider that USC's amazing 09 class is all California so far, LSU's ability to recruit in FL, TX and GA is even more impressive.
