We now have Minter and Ferrell is possibly commiting Monday. How will it affect our chances with Williams if Ferrell commits to us, both are projected for a middle backer position. I feel we need Williams because of his impressive 40 time of 4.52, Ferrell is in the 4.6+ range.
My gut feeling is that we could sign 5 at Linebacker this year due to the 2 La. prospects we're interested in. Does anyone feel some of these middle backers are projected by our staff to play on the outside?

    Williams who is that?

Also i think that we should take 3 Lb's minter, and 2 OLB's
those other 2 schollies can be used to get more elite players at other positions
    we're not miami we aren't going to run a 7 lb set:lol:

He's Chris Williams Middle Linbacker 6ft. 230lbs. Abilene Tx. rated No.5 in the nation at middle backer with a high interest in LSU.

with Barkevious Mingo being 6ft. 5 inches we could take him as a linebacker with the possibility of a conversion to a rush DE by his Jr. year. His speed is 4.5+ just needs 40 more lbs.

Whats the story on Lamin Barrow LB from Marrero? Rivals 4*, first I have heard of him. Did the Baseball team win today or lose again??

seems the big question on Lamin is his speed. If I'm correct his 40 time is around 4.8 which is a little to slow, I think the coaches are looking for a minimum of 4.6 on the outside.

Ok, yes I see its 4.83 in the forty on his speed - Lamin Barrow is rated a 4 star by rivals & I know this is a catch 22 question but how is he rated as high as Mingo,Telford & Williams being he is that slow? Rivals also says that LSU is pursuing him - for real or not??

I don't think the coaches are really after him, perhaps as a fallback incase we draw a blank on the ones we are after

Ferrell will most definitely be a MLB. That means we now have 2 MLBs. This would effectively end the recruitment of Chris Williams (whom I liked the most), unless they can see him playing outside linebacker (4.52 speed).

I still feel we get 4 LBs total, 2 OLBs, one of which will most likely be Mingo.

That leaves room for 1 more. That could and should be Bostic.
