Hyperbole regarding DJ Welter is impossible. I tried it, trust me. I'll give you the best description I can of Welter. Imagine The Honey Badger is on one end of the spectrum of great defensive players at the collegiate level. The gold standard, as we call it. DJ Welter is on the other end.
If he starts and plays a considerable amount of snaps vs Bama, I implore everyone to keep your eye on him. You will astounded as to how inept he is really is. The physicality of this game is scaring the bejeezus out of him right now.
