Started (USA TODAY INDEX) at LSU -5.5 now -4.5. Buckeyes putting money down early. I dont think it will move below 4. Stone cold lock.....take LSU giving the points. :geauxtige
This line is surprising to me....even 5.5 was surprising since you would believe that playing in NOLA would be worth at least 7. That not taking into account that everyone believes the Tigers are going to roll the Buckeyes in a "neutral" site.....
you usually get 3 points for home field advantage.....and it's not like we're playing at Death Valley on a Saturday night, then the line would be 10.5
OK, Thanks for explaining me the homefield thing---but how much different is playing in NOLA going to be than in BR? Seriously, if OSU were playing LSU in Cleveland Browns Stadium (120 miles distance) they would have the same advantage as if they were playing at the 'Shoe in Columbus. You can't say BR and NOLA are a "night" and day difference--unless you can't park Mike VI's cage by the Bucks lockerroom door!!!LOL
i think boise has the largest home field adv of any team over the last 5+ years or so like 5 points. louisville was somewhere on the list. playing in the comforts and habits of your actual home stadium means a lot more than simply playing close to home. although it is a pretty big advantage. i think money is trickling to the OSU side because of all the distractions for LSU with Les and UM in the media and I'd concur.
Think of it in these terms: -It's like sitting at your own dinner table to eat a meal with your family- TS -Sitting at a dinner table with you family at your parents' house- Super Dome -Having the same dinner with your family at a friends' house- Cleveland Browns Stadium -The same, at a restaurant- The Shoe You have the same at each and though they all have their levels of enjoyment and the meal is both tasty and filling, but there's no comfort level like that of your own house.
yeah and you can unbutton your pants so you can breathe and also pass gas comfortably. I hope these analogies help you out there scooter.
Ok, OK, I get the picture, but remember the spread is generated by the Vegas folks and not LSU supporters, I think. The Vegas people, not in the proverbial know about your feelings of TS, have to believe, much like the rest of the country, that NOLA is a "virtual" home game. Y'all need to give the Tigers a little more credit!!! The tone of your messages suggests that the Tigers are playing in Neyland or Jordan-Hare instead of NOLA. At any rate, this confirms my suspicions that OSU needs to wear their "white" jerseys and force LSU into their purple jerseys to raise the "discomfort" level. Using one of the analogies above, maybe it'll force someone to wear clean "undies" to dinner...LOL
