Nick Saban is not happy with Alabama fans.

This season, Alabama's attendance has been inconsistent with several people showing up for the start of games and then disappearing after halftime.

Saban said the lack of attendance is affecting his team and the recruits the Tide is bringing to campus. So, he wants fans to stay the entire time, or not come at all.

"I've talked about players playing for 60 minutes in the game and competing for 60 minutes in the game," Saban said. "And, in some kind of way, everybody that chooses to go to the game should stay there and support the team for the game.

"Maybe if you're not interested in doing that, you should let someone else go who would really like to go because I have a lot of people who want to go.”

While there have been gaps in attendance during the second halves of games, it’s probably because the games haven’t exactly been interesting. The Tide has outscored its home opponents 153-9 and have shut out its two home conference opponents – Ole Miss and Arkansas – 77-0.

However, people are, at least, coming to games. In Alabama’s four home games this season, it’s averaging 101,679 fans, which ranks eighth nationally.

"We have lots of recruits there, we like to see an enthusiastic full stadium," Saban said. "We have a beautiful stadium and one of the nicest venues in all of college football and I think we all should show our appreciation for it by staying and supporting our team for the whole game."

 

Nick Saban is not happy. Period.
