With the current number of unbeatens left and their remaining schedules, there's a good chance that a Bama loss knocks everyone from the SEC out of NC contention. Particularly with voters who have the 2012 season as their last chance to guarantee a non-SEC champ. With that said, if LSU keeps the game close, what are the odds that Birmingham puts the fix in?
I am on of the few who doesnt find much merit in this. COULD a call POSSIBLY lean but I have to think IF there is unbiased truth to this then the entire integrity of college football would be in question. Have some really bad calls happened in the past that favored Bama I think we all can agree the Patrick Peterson interception is the most glaring even Bama fans admit LSU got jobbed. Funny think other SEC teams have said the same thing about us recently. But I have to think its more a case of poor officiating that happened to go against us as opposed to some systematic effort to ensure Bama or an undefeated SEC has an easy ride to the NC.... Maybe I am wrong I just think this is to out of the rhelm of possibility to be true....
It's obvious Alabama gets calls, and gets overlooked when they hold, interfere, and personal foul. That Patrick Peterson call was only 1 of 5 to 6 completely screwed up things officials did that night, spotting balls in the wrong place, not calling holding, not calling personal fouls, you name it Gumps get away with it.
I seem to remember a 1st down run that was spotted 2yards short making us punt and a blatant no call spear that put JJ out as well in that game.
Me thinks back to the season they had no holding calls the entire season. Think it was before the Satan era but could be wrong.
