Liggins going Juco ? http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoo...rback-signee-jeremy-liggins-to-junior-college I assume if this is true he will probably never step foot in Baton Rouge. I also read that he is trying to make his grades to make it to make it by fall.
Yeah, he is headed to MGCCC aka "Perk". Rumor is that he is over 300 lbs and his grades are terrible so he has to go the JUCO route.
Huh I guess he didnt have "The Chest" to make his grades.... Shame seems like a nice kid hope he gets it squared away.....
Liggins is enrolled at MGCCC (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College) but is still trying to get qualified for LSU by re-taking the SAT.
One more shot at SAT or ACT and enrolled in case it doesn't work out with Clearinghouse. I am actually hearing he is at 260 right now.
the sports editor of the Oxford newspaper tweeted this two days ago when the rumors first surfaced: Liggins told me in May he had been accepted at LSU, which I confirmed again today. A final test score is what Liggins is waiting on. and Randy Rosetta tweeted a few hours ago that Liggins "has been accepted to LSU" it appears that although Liggins has been accepted into LSU, he won't be eligible for the football team unless he gets cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse, and to do that Liggins needs to do better on the ACT or SAT Anthony Hart, who was Liggins high school coach (and now AD), was contacted by both ESPN and the Shreveport Times, and he said Liggins is re-taking the SAT or ACT in an effort to be eligible to play NCAA football we'll know later this summer how Liggins does, but for now he has enrolled in a south MS juco with an elite football program as a fall back plan just in case
“Nothing is decided yet,” LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said. “He’s taking a class there (at Mississippi Gulf Coast), but there’s nothing preventing him from coming to school here (at LSU) in August.” The Biloxi Sun-Herald quoted Liggins’ high school coach, Anthony Hart of Lafayette County High in Oxford, Miss., as saying that Liggins took the ACT last week and is awaiting his test scores (he took the ACT on June 9). "If everything turns out well, he'll be down at LSU," Hart said.
I think he should go to Perk.. Coming to LSU would be the biggest mistake he ever made. The kid will never see the field at QB. His best bet would be going to JUCO and coming out after two years to polish up his game and maybe someone like Arky State will pick him up. I think Gus's offense will suite him best. No way is another 260lb plus qb going to be playing at LSU. I know the kid was undefeated his Junion and Senior years in highschool, but c'mon why would you even take a chance at that kid.. IMO thats a waste of a scholarship.. We need to go recruit some linebackers...
For an Auburn fan, or whatever you are, after seeing Malzahn's offense for three years this is what you think? Seriously?
