THis is not the 1st time he has let his emotions get the best of him but always co med to his senses. BTW, even Lee confirmed that all the emails going around are completely false. Everyone I have talked to close to the program has been shocked at how bad the rumor are. Pretty sad...
It's pretty sad .. but unfortunately .. it fits. It'll be hard to convince people that something wasnt' going on .. because the Tiger team that showed up was not the team they had watched all season long. IT WAS as if they were distracted by something .. something other than Bama's daunting defense. It was as if they had not practiced at all the entire time, but just showed up. It was as if the offense had absolutely no motivation to perform at all. It was "emotional" ... not physical. Just because Lee said such n such is no measure of truth. Lee is trying to get in the NFL, and needs all the good refs he can get. Crapping on his coach and the team is not going to get him the good refs he needs. If you read between the lines of Lee's big interview posted on the last JLee thread ... you can feel that there is a hell of lot more to the story than what he is saying. He and JJ were "pretty good friends" .. that's the kind of speech that covers for a very bad relationship. I would not be suprised of the Narcissists [JJ] did come out and say that Lee couldn't handle this kind of game. .. as if he [JJ] could. What a joke!! Anyway . .I'm not saying it's true, but I can see where it "could" be.
Good theory but not true at all. With all the media members with the team throughout the weekend you know it would be out there if there was. Big payday for anyone releasing that info to the national media. Just fans looking for reasons outside of LSU being deflated early in the game. Just like during the Arkansas and UGA game. We waited for a spark and it always came but we were left waiting all game.
Yeah .. I agree. I don't think it is true either ... but ... for a fan base looking for explanations .. it fits. .. .just sayin'.
LSU is going to get rid of a coach who has the best record ever at LSU, has won a NC, and played in another? Not a chance. I have a question for all of you who want Miles gone: Exactly who will you bring here that will do a better job? With the pay out that Miles has, you couldn't bring in a quality established coach.
For me it has never been a issue of firing Les over Jan 9th !!! If you are running a company and you have your best sales pro working the biggest account you have ever had a chance to get. On the day the account is going to go to Bama is a pile of shXX or Louisiana is the best you are in the room when the account is awarded to Bama. You ask the owner of why he went with Bama. Well Bama did a great job of giving me all the details of what they could do to grow my company. I only saw your guy from Louisiana once and I got very little info. Les dropped the ball The staff dropped the ball Something happened pre-game and we are being lied to or This coach and this staff thought what they put on the field gave us the best chance to win!! any of the above ='s STUPID !!!! If I was giving LSU 1 million a year someone would be explaining what happened. If I find out nothing crazy happened but the staff agreed with Les that JJ and this game plan gave us our best chance to win, I would be telling someone if the stupid road is not shut down changes are going to be made. Les has had many great games and many wonderful bowl games. One oh shXX in life takes many attaboys to over come ! Geaux Tigers - make me forget Jan 9th - please !!!!!! !twocrystals!!twocrystals!!twocrystals!
None of these rumors make a lot of sense. Nevertheless, there IS a reason why Les did not have this team ready to play football. There IS a reason why Les had no "Plan B". We may never know these reasons. My concern is that Les doesn't know these reasons either, in which case the problems won't get fixed. This is why I think Les, for the good of the program, will have to eventually discuss these issues and show some confidence that he can fix it. For the team, for recruiting, for the school and the fans . . . and for himself.
A combination of factors played into the result on the 9th. Motivation, as unbelievable as it is, was a major factor. The guys played as though they could go through the motions and beat Bama. They did not play a great game on Nov. 5th but still managed to win on the road. They figured they could easily do it at their home away from home. Plus it was a revenge game for Saban and his boys. The OL played horrible and gave rise to the rumors along with B.Hebert's reaction post-game. Given all of this, there was no reason why plan B was not available, even on the OL. No play will work without blocking, and the OL didn't show up and got their a$$ handed to them. By far the worse OL performance in years.
I'm sure you've heard me say my biggest worry with him was his "game day coaching". I was starting to think I could trust him but he had that "Deer in the headlights" look again. Again OL play haunts us. No excuse when that was Miles' position as a player.
