This is the thing that I have been saying for a while. The people have completely lost control of the wagon and it is mostly by our own doing. 1. We don't vote enough, when there are more votes for the winner of American Idol than there are for POTUS then we have a problem. 2. We don't get involved enough to weed out these ideological ego maniacs and get quality candidates on both or even 3 parties. Who was the last legitimate Independent we had to look at? Certainly not Perot?

Yes, at one point I thought having an independent party or third party would be a solution. I don't think it will though, as you say it runs deep in our culture and our system.

The money corrupts all, they work more at staying in power than doing actual governance.

People are out of touch with our government, simply put they are mostly ignorant of the whole process. And to be honest there is just so much to vote on, I couldn't stay up with it all. Nor would I want to. The whole process needs to be simplified.

Bah, the problems are many and complicated. I think it all starts with getting money and corporations out of our government. imo

This, the GD lobbyists run everything. I'd love to see open season on these dipshits. Sort of the way Tombstone ended.

I would also like to see some sort of mandatory election process, or maybe spend more on education. And the removal of the electoral college. Stop all this rezoning to rig elections. Look at the State of Texas and what they did to Austin, its actually quite funny and diabolical at the same time. Austin a town that is mostly Democrat, has all Republican state representatives due to rezoning.

Hey, I watch the news too and I see no evidence of what you say. Give us a friggin' example.

The problem is that the third parties always end up to the left of the Democrats or to the right of the Republicans. There is a huge need for a center party, but the Republicans and Democrats actually work together to prevent that happening.

As you wish, I don't need you to tell me what I already know about the televised news media. I said 3:1 for folks watching vs listening. If you think it's different then the burden of proof is on you.

Backwards of course. I choose to simply not believe you.
