You have spent too much time in the "institutionally controlled system" we call "The Army", looking at men.
@Rolan there is much justice in what you say. I do have to say I find the left doing the same these days. It has become as intolerant and smug as the extreme right. Look at the PC activities on many college campuses that are preventing anyone they dissagree with from speaking. A moral judgement is being made on political discourse. There seem to me to be more on the left in favor of limits to expression (that they don't agree with) than on the right these days. Your last two comments apply to both sides these days.
The extremes have always been intolerant. Today's GOP caters more to its lunatic fringe than the Dems, though. No, freedom of speech is something that colleges uphold pretty well. The PC issue some of them have is trying to prevent anybody from being offended, which is just ridiculous.
This "institutional controlled system" of which you speak also adhere's this thing called the Scientific Method, whereby one is required to provide proof of their assertions, not guesses.
Does this mean that you are not the Duke of Earl of your own little academic fiefdom? Too bad. They'll never cast you in a remake of The Nuttiest Professor.
I guessed at the ratio of people that get their news from the TV vs the radio. If it is that important to you then please look it up. I'd like to know for sure but I'm not going to waste time looking it up. I've conceded that radio is largely representative of the right but to say that any of the anchors on any of the networks that are not fox are anything but left of center is just disingenuous
Yes, I tried to say that, probably not well enough. I just picked one point of view to explain it. I just hope that the Republicans and Democrats can get their shit together and stop being so rigid. I don't hate the right or the left, but that is what they are trying to do. Pit us against each other, we need to vote out the people on both sides that are doing that.
